And now we come to everyday’s end-
When light fades to colors dim.
Light’s creatures lay with one last sigh
As evening sounds sing lullabies
I sit and watch the sunset near
I listen to the crickets cheer
I watch the lightning bugs dance along,
To mimic the stars that appear above
And in this glorious moment told
I think upon my day now old,
And wonder at the decisions made
And if my mark was Godly made
Do others think me higher now?
Did I give so others could abound?
Did I listen with my full intent?
Did I think with thoughts purely kept?
And most importantly of all-
Did I glorify God with my everyday’s all?
Did I obediently cause my will to bend?
So that I may praise Him
At everyday’s end
