Thanksgiving

I am thankful for God above

Who, when I fall,

Still always loves

He listens hard

And whispers soft

He guides me well

And lets me walk

He has provided all

That I’ll ever need

And given more

Than enough to me

I am thankful for a family dear

Who have encouraged me

Throughout the years

They make me laugh

And lift me high

They have given me

The best of times

I am thankful for this life to live

Through the best

And the worst

It is always

A gift

And even on the darkest days

I still have much to sing

In praise

For breath

For light

For stars

And moon

For warmth

A heart

And even a roof

For creation

And all

That it entails

For a future

Much brighter

Than dreams can tell

With all I have

And all I am

I say thank you

To God

My family

My friends
