Eternity

And now I see the other side
Of love lost
And taken all my pride.
The ground still moist
With my starlit tears,
I try not to think
Of all the wasted years

Sometimes it feels like old times again
Your pictures make me smile within.
But then the tear of parting words
Drags up the pain of blackened burns.
And now in darkness,
In the cold of night,
Your pictures add to my deepest plight.

Will these feeling ever fade?
Will my heart become jaded
With this passing age?
Will true love ever find this broken heart?
Will the darkness end
With mornings glorious spark?

And now I know this too will pass
That God above will forgive our past
And as I journey beneath the heaven’s glow
A star will find me, and I shall know

That love is out there
Spring comes anew

The garden may wilt
But is refreshed by dew

The lost son may return
To heaven’s glee

And my heart’s love will be found,
In eternity
