There is a wall which separates you and I-
I know not quit how to pierce it.
It is ever present betwixt us two,
And it seems to keep me from really knowing you.
And so, there it is.
Its thickness varies with the time
But when I think I should be able to climb;
Fate’s gravity does so ever incline
To push me back down.
Sometimes the wall seems paper thin
My hand pushes to break the boundary then,
But awkwardly should I come stumbling through
To make you take flight, for fear of pursuit.
I know not what the key should be
To break this wall into debris
But whether by persistence, or persistence’s key
I will find a way to join me to thee(September 4, 2011)
